Fight for our Future and Conservative Values

I’ve been reflecting for many days now on the current state of our great republic and where we stand. We have a President that with the help of Congress has put together the largest set of spending packages in our nation’s history and is working at building a debt on the next generation that they will be responsible for. We have a President that has spent used his time to constantly talk down this country how dire things are. He has used the words crisis and catastrophe more times than I can count. Everything that was done by past Presidents to bring about prosperity in this country he is doing the exact opposite of. He is working tirelessly to bring down this economy to a point that he will have every excuse to implement his radical socialist agenda including government control of our bank system and healthcare system.

We are on the verge of seeing a Trillion plus dollar tax increase on those in this country that Obama deems to be “Rich” or “Wealthy.” What does this mean for me or you? That means our taxes will go up as well. It will be indirect, but our taxes will increase as businesses will begin to pass the tax burden on to their consumers and the cost of items we purchase will increase. There is so much this President is trying to do so fast that our country just cannot take it. People are getting fed up and it is time to do something about it before things really get out of hand.

Government spending has been rampant of the years, but I have never seen anything like this and it has gone entirely too far. This President is using his class warfare tactics to help garner support for his spending initiatives. You’ve see the people on TV at his town hall meetings, who are just giddy over him and are begging Obama to save them. Get them in college, buy them a house, or any of a number of other things. We have an entitlement mentality that is growing out of control in this country and Obama is just feeding that with promises of college tuition, tax cuts to those that don’t pay taxes, and government provided healthcare that he is ready to fight for.

The sad part is, no matter what, these same people are going to be continually begging for more as time go on. I think Rush Limbaugh talked about this well at CPAC over the weekend. The democrats have been promising so much to the poor in this country for so long. Those that live on welfare and get through life wanting someone else to take care of them. The dems will through out some scraps here and there, but it is never enough. Those same people that were begging before are still begging today and will continue to beg into the future. The democrats feed that mentality by just given them handouts rather than encouraging them to get on their own feet and live free and be responsible. With the type of government Obama is implementing this is only going to get worse. He has is playing with peoples minds telling people it is just wrong of corporate executives to private jets or spend on parties other business events. He is festering a culture of wealth envy. Private businesses can’t use private jets, but it is okay for Nancy Pelosi to waste tax dollars and do so when no other house speaker has done so. I could go on and on this, but it is just getting ridiculous to watch.

Then we have Conservatives such as me and I believe a majority of Americans. We saw republicans get kicked in the teeth in November for one reason and one reason alone. They forgot who they were. They forgot their principles and fed on the power their offices gave them. They essentially became a watered down version of the democrat party.

Like many others, I do not identify myself as republican although I primarily vote for republicans. I am a true conservative molded in the model of the Great Communicator Ronald Reagan. I believe in our Constitution, the foundation of our republic and in the principles and ideals of our founding fathers. I am a capitalist and believe in freedom. I love my God and I love this country and always will. I do believe that the country has lost its way in some sense but I do not believe it is all lost as some will try and tell you. I believe we can bring this country to the greatness that it can be.

How do we do this some you might ask? There are a few things that can be done. First and foremost, it is a matter of getting the right message out and getting the right people elected into office. Not some elitist politician, but we need strong conservative blood in there. People that will stand up strong to the policies that this administration is putting forth that will do nothing to help this country move forward. We need the right people elected that will do what it takes to get government out of lives and let us live and let us keep the money that we work hard for and not seize it and give it to someone that did not work for and earn it.

I’ve heard the same thing from people, “You just want Obama to fail.” In short, hell yes I do. I want his socialist agenda to fail because that is not the way to move this country forward, that is not freedom, and IT IS NOT CONSTITUTIONAL. We do not need to become a country of cattle that purely depends on government. The federal government in this country has grown way beyond its constitutionally mandated size. They have seized more power than they should have and are looking to gain more through their spending and entitlement programs.

Now it’s time to get conservatives re-energized and back to the polls to vote their principles and vote for our constitution. It is time for the right people to step into the leadership roles of the conservative movement and get us back on track. It’s not time to just look for the next Ronald Reagan. It is time to get the right group of people elected first and out of that will emerge a voice of leadership. It is NOT time to re-define conservatism. Conservatism cannot be re-defined. It is what it is. It is a matter getting this country and its leadership back to its conservative roots.

We cannot be afraid to standup and speak about Obama and his administration. Who gives a damn if anyone is offended by you speaking out against Obama? There is nothing wrong with calling him out where he is wrong and so far he has been wrong most of the time. That is the beauty of this country; we have the right to speak out against our government when they are headed in the wrong direction. We must get back to our conservative roots and get the people elected that will promote our conservative roots and get this movement energized again. We must not try to cater to one group or another group like the dems do and republicans have done in the past. We must get a message out that appeals to all Americans. That message should that government will get out of your lives and your pockets. That you will be allowed to live free and are free to rise and fall on your merits. It is not the governments place to do this for you.

Obama is spending us deeper into recession and working to tax us deeper into recession. He is also playing politics and gambling with our national security trying to get Russia to deal with Iran for us by agreeing to disband our missile defense systems. There is so much that is being done by this administration and he is overreaching his limits. He’s appointed a joke of a cabinet including a tax cheat. He has not allowed the transparency he claimed would there. Example being the sudden passing of the Trillion dollar government growth bill a couple of weeks ago. We were not given the opportunity to read it just as Congress was not given that chance.

I know some of you may think that I just say some of the same things over and over, but I don’t want people to forget. We still live in the greatest country that God has given man. We are still a beacon of freedom and hope to so many in the world. We have helped to secure freedom around the world for millions of people. People still strive to come to America to live out the American dream. I want that to continue being the case for centuries to come if we can help it. I also want the people that are already here to be able live their lives freely. We have a great opportunity here. We can either stand by watch our nation sink further into a socialist/Marxist society, or we can fight for our republic, for our constitution, for our freedom. People are beginning to revolt already and we need to continue to so and the best way is through the ballot box beginning on November 2, 2010 and then on November 6, 2012. It is time to get involved and do something to safeguard the future of this great republic.
